The APEC Cyber Education Network Project (ACEN) and APEC Youth Internet Volunteer Program (AYIV) are the pioneering projects which are created to narrow the gaps of resources, knowledge and expertise in education and to create cooperation among teachers, students and technicians in APEC countries via the Internet technology.
During 6-16 August 2001, the Youth Internet Volunteers (YIV) from the Republic of Korea, leading by Professor Dr. Inwoo Park and Professor Dr. Han Heungsik, have visited Thailand.
With the Cooperation among Korean YIVs, and Thai staffs from Rajabhat Institute Suan Duist (RISD), The Office of National Primary Education Commission (ONPEC), the Educational Management Information System Center (EMISC), and the Department of Vocational Education, the workshop for sharing the educational knowledge and experience in information and communication technology -document and Web page designing, document collecting and categorizing- was carried out.
Korean and Thai staffs were divided into three groups, having a workshop to create educational Websites as models for online learning modules.
In group one, the Korean and Thai religious structures Web site was made.
In group two, the learning module for teaching the information in the Internet was made.
In group three, the English learning module for English for Communication and Information Retrieval of Rajabhat Institute Suan Dusit (RISD) was reviewed and modified.
